On February 22nd, Platt Central welcomed the newest class of Evening Practical Nursing students. These students have chosen Platt College to help them on their journey to becoming the best nurse they can be!
New Dental Assistant students jump right in...on their second morning of classes they are already learning how to take impressions. Learning the proper technique of mixing the solution and then setting the impression in their own mouth or some other lucky volunteer.

Platt North Bake Sale for the American Heart Association
Platt College North had a bake sale on February 14, to raise money for the Central Oklahoma Heart Walk. Students as well as graduates helped prepare chocolate dipped strawberries, truffles, red velvet cupcakes, and cake pops. The bake sale was a huge success, and we were able to raise $1400 for the American Heart Association. We appreciate all of the volunteers that helped make this fundraiser such a success.

Platt Students Paving the Way
In 2006 Courtney Hess graduated from Platt College’s Pharmacy Technician program and was hired at Flourish Integrative Pharmacy. PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America) selected Courtney for Technician of the Year in April of the following year among technicians around the country! She has also served on the Advisory Boardat Platt Central.
Recently another student, Jill Hassaj, was placed at Flourish Integrated Pharmacy for her externship and again they were so impressed with our students that they already hired her!
On a recent visit to the site, Diane Copeland, our Pharmacy Technician Coordinator met with Courtney and learned she is now the Pharmacy manager, a position that was created just for her.
Both of these students have represented Platt well and we have no doubt they will continue to create their own successes.
