Central’s very own director took education to a whole new level today when
he agreed to let the Surgical Technologist students “ shave and prep” him for
surgery. Students are required to
perform this procedure during their program and since there are no gentlemen in
their class they decided to present their dilemma to Joey Keefer. Their idea: as a fundraiser for JDRF, they
would collect money from students and staff that would like to witness Joey
having his chest “prepped and shaved” for a mach surgery. Joey, thinking that this was a little too much
immediately said “no”, but after a little thought, he decided that he would “take
one for the team” and agreed, with the stipulation that the students would have
to raise $200. Well, as you can see,
raising the money was not a problem, it seems as though people are willing
to shell out the bucks when it comes to having a little fun at the expense of the campus
director.
